Hue Tourism - Famous pagodas of Hue

Hue Tourism - Every year, Hue attracts millions of both domestic and international tourists. Things that made up such attraction is not the spectacular, miraculous  natural beauty, attractive resort, or entertainment services, but the recognized historical profile of Hue, in which the pagoda and temple system is a significant.

Thien Mu pagoda

The Thien Mu pagoda is located in the Ha Khe hill, which is on the left of Huong River, and about 5km away from city central. This is one of the biggest and most famous pagodas in Hue. The pagoda had been built and reconstructed many times before having its current great appearance. Along with an advantageous location, the beautiful Huong River, the pagoda is associated with the mysterious and sacred stories which attracts lots of locals and visitors coming for sightseeing and praying.

Huyen Khong pagoda

Huyen Khong pagoda, also known as Huyen Khong Son Thuong pagoda, is located in the Cham Mount, is a space of nature, unspoiled scenery and pureness. On the pagoda, you will have the opportunity to experience a journey to overcome great roads with pretty cool, shady poinciana trees, flowers, grass with a charming combination of mountains and rivers. The road to the pagoda is as beautiful as a painting that fascinates people. This is a famous tourist of mystical spirituality with a wild and mysterious community space, therefore, the pagoda has attracted more tourists from all corners.

Tu Dam pagoda

Tu Dam pagoda is located to Truong An ward and 2km away from the city central. This pagoda has a special architecture that is different from most pagodas in Hue and also in Vietnam. The architecture of Tu Dam pagoda holds both modern and ancient beauty. Tourists coming to this pagoda will have an opportunity to experience the wide, tall and airy space that is not usually met in ancient pagodas; however, those characteristics do not make the pagoda to lose the simplicity and elegance of Vietnamese pagodas. Visitors might stay overnight in the pagoda if there is a demand.

Thien Lam pagoda

Thien Lam pagoda is a "young" pagoda which was built in 1960 with the original structure of a small cup. The pagoda has been rebuilt and reconstructed several times with the addition of various complex works of unique architecture, sculpture. Each architecture is on different location of Thien Lam pagoda and holds its own spiritual significance, but all together contribute to the harmony in architecture of this famous pagoda.
