Mausoleums
Hue is the ancient capital of Vietnam inhabited by kings and royal families. Therefore, there are many intact tombs and citadel which not only bring historic values but also are unique architectures attracting tourists.
There are tombs of Tu Duc, Minh Mang, Khai Dinh, Gia Long, and Thieu Tri. Tomb of King Gia Long is a complex with 42 hills and mountains. Minh Mang Tomb is located on Mount Cam Khe. Tu Duc Tomb is located in a narrow valley of the village of Duong Xuan Thuong, Xuan Thuy, Hue. It is one of gaudy mausoleum architectures and has the most beautiful scenery. Each tomb has its own location and architectural style, but generally represents gaudiness.
Royal Citadel
Located in Thuan Thanh ward, Hue city, this monument includes the Imperial Citadel and the Forbidden city - the most attractive place for foreign tourists. Royal Citadel was built in the palace and garden trench architectures, began construction under the reign of Gia Long and completed under the reign of Minh Mang with more than 100 architectural works with various functions such as Ngo Mon, Dich Mon,and so on.
The Royal Palace and the palace system are distributed strictly. All the works were designed in the spirit of harmony with nature, such as gardens, artificial lakes, stone bridges, and floating islands.
Thien Mu Pagoda
Thien Mu Pagoda is situated on Ha Khe hill, on the left bank of the Perfume River, about 5 mile of Hue City center. Thien Mu name is associated with a legend about a "midwife" who appeared on the hill every night and said that a king would come there and created a temple to pray for the country's prosperity.
As the result, when Lord Nguyen Hoang came over here, hearing the tale, ordered to build the temple and named Thien Mu Pagoda.
Hue songs
Hue music is not only known as an elegant pleasure of the ancient kings but also an art form which is a combination between court music and folk singing which is a type of ancient Vietnamese music integrated elements of folk and scholars.
Today, Hue songs are performed on Perfume River. Guests can listen to music, admire sights and enjoy fresh air. Coming to Hue,every afternoon, you can sit on a boat, watching the sunset. It's extremely poetic.
Hue sea
Referring to Hue, it is often just referred to Perfume River, Hue music, and violet ao dai. But recently, Hue makes a strong impression on visitors with Lang Co Sea.
Lang Co beach has two attractions including Vung Voi beach and Canh Van beach. Vung Voi attracts visitors by crystal clear waterfalls. Van Canh sea is shallow but very clean and has fresh and cheap seafood.
