Hue Tourism - Huong River and Ngu Binh mountain: The soul of Hue

Hue Tourism – Hue does not have crowded beaches, mountains, nor amusing parks, magnificent palaces, but Hue are still a popular choice when people come to Vietnam. This place impresses tourists with the soft and harmony, beauty of Huong River and Ngu mountain.

It is widely acknowledged that many people love Hue because of the poetic, quiet and peaceful beauty of the Huong River. This river is not famous for the grandeur, the length nor the untouched width, but for its charm.
In the upstream of Huong river, we will catch the small streams originated from Truong Son Mountain range to combine into 2 branches named Ta Trach and Huu Trach. Flowing to Bang Lang, these streams and branches will form curving, crooked flow in the untouched, green jungle, then change its direction to the east to enter Tam Giang before reaching the sea. The name of this river came from local people’s  hope of a happy, beautiful and sustainable life for eternity.

In the capital of Hue, Ngu Binh Mountain and Huong River create a stunning terrain of this place. Together with Huong River, Ngu Binh mountain is an invaluable gift that was given to Hue by nature. The river and the mountain all together created a charming beauty to the Citadel.

Local people or who have had a chance to visit Hue will be able to stand on the top of the Ngu Binh mountain and to hear the sound of the wind, widen their view to see the whole beauty of Hue with magnificent and ancient palaces lying between untouched trees, to see the soft and smooth Huong River stripping like a charming scaft, and to look for the desolate sand dunes in Thuan A beach.

Ngu Binh moutain won the hearts of visitors not because of its mysterious and spectacular beauty, but for its meditative beauty and tranquility. Ngu Binh mountain has been also considered as the faithful lover of Huong River in the spirituality of the residents for thousands of years.
