Tay Ninh Tourism- Special dishes in Tay Ninh

Tay Ninh Tourism - Tay Ninh with a lot of sun and wind is famous not only for historic sites, mysterious lands but also unique dishes which are too complicated but bring their own flavors.
Shrimp salt

Shrimp salt can be regarded as the most famous and commonest dish in Vietnam exported to many countries around the world. There is a strange thing that this place has no sea to make salt and no more shrimp but has such unique specialty.


Shrimp salt is not spice because people can enjoy it without eat something together. However, it is not an independent dish because its main ingredients are salt and chili. Making it is required to be efforts and skills. Tay Ninh people must get fresh and delicious chili which is minced with shrimp, mixed with salt in a proper ratio and then dried.

Trang Bang bread soup

Bread soup is available in many places but well known in Trang Bang. A bowl of bread soup is delicious if it is hot. When enjoying, you will feel the sweet but delicate taste of bone water and the fragrance of rice in harmony with the other spices. After adding a few slices of fresh meat, you will be able to eat all a big bowl of bread soup.


Dew- wetted rice paper

Making dew-wetted rice paper has a process similar to other rice papers. However, this process is creative and requests efforts to make its own and unmistakable flavor. To make a batch of dew-wetted rice paper, people have really invested a lot of effort and dedication from choosing rice, rinsing rice, mincing flour, spreading the flour, and wetting the paper by dew in the night. This rice paper is naturally soft and chewy suitable for serving with other ingredients such as herbs, vegetables, and meat.


Xu snail in Ba Mountain

Xu snail dish in Ba Mountain is delicious but less well-known than shrimp salt, rice paper or bread soup. The simple reason is that visitors have a chance to enjoy this dish only if they come to Tay Ninh. Snails steamed with ginger and lemongrass will hold a special taste. They are naturally sweet and chewy.


Grapefruit rolls

This dish is strange but one of delicious vegetarian dishes. Rolls are made from grapefruit peel and dried green papaya, and combined with spices creating a very special flavor of unmistakable grapefruit rolls. Visitors should not miss this dish while traveling to Ninh Thuan.
