Quang Ninh Travel - Poetic and natural beauty of Tra Co Beach


Tra Co is not a crowded beach, but it attracts tourists by the quiet, desolate, wild and romantic beauty. Let us introduce you the poetic charm of this destination.

Tra Co is a small peninsula belonged to Quang Ninh and located around 7 km from Vietnam-China border. Unlike other crowded, well-known beaches such as Sam Son, Bai Chay, Vung Tau, Nha Trang, Tra Co beach is around 17km in length from Got top to Hon Ngoc. This location has a wide range of natural high sand dunes, pine forests and vast mangrove forest. The sand dunes here are smooth as silk while the water is clean and fresh with mild gentle waves. The fresh air and cool temperature are factors that make Tra Co to be a proper choice for those who want to relax or recover their health.

Local people in Tra Co are mostly inshore fishing and living in small, sparse villages. They are quiet and peaceful, just like the nature where they are living in. The combination of both nature and human-being makes this place seem to be more interesting and attractive to tourists. 
In addition to the wonderful weather and beautiful charm, Tra Co is also famous for its historical and ancient temples, churches, pagodas and shrines. Tra Co temple was built in 1550 with fancy carved and crafted motifs and is fully made of wood. Tra Co pagoda (aka Linh Khanh pagoda) was built in 1775 with a campus of 5000 square meters. Tra Co temple (aka Thanh Mau temple) is considered to be a sacred temple built in 1550. Tra Co shrine and Tra Co church are also famous destinations because of historical stories related to them as well as the unique beauty in this structure. 

Holding those characterizations, Tra Co has attracted million thousands of visitors every year. With such a great number of visitors, the food services and lodging here is also developing. 

Cuisines of Tra Co are also attractive to tourists, there are many foods to be mentioned like Ca Say, Tien Yen chicken, Cu Ky Mong Cai, sea crabs. Each dish has its own significant taste that is not only tasty but also attracting the curiosity of tourists. Ca Say is originated from duck meat while Tien Yen chicken are raised wildly. Words will never enough to describe the taste of those dishes, you should try it yourself to discover what they could bring to you. There will never be any regret once you visit this place.
